I am excited to share with you what I have been reading this week and what I plan to read next week. I am using my friends Jen and Kellee’s awesome meme idea. Please check out their amazing blog Teach Mentor Texts.
I am continuing to enjoy reading non-fiction picture books for the Non-Fiction Picture Book Challenge. It is hosted by Alyson Beecher at her amazing blog Kid Lit Frenzy! Can you spot the excellent nonfiction picture book in the books I read this week?

Looking at Lincoln by Maira Kalman
The whimsical pictures and questions among the facts about Lincoln really made this picture book enjoyable. I also love the quotes from Abraham Lincoln among the facts. The author also includes some interesting facts at the end of the picture book in the notes section.
I am giving Looking at Lincoln 5 note-filled, tall hats out of 5.

Extreme Babymouse by Jennifer L. Holm & Matthew Holm

Every Day by David Levithan
This is an amazing, wild ride of a book! The character of A who becomes a different person every day really pulls you in and doesn’t let go up to the very end of the story. I had no clue what would happen next. I was always surprised by the next turn in the story. Who is A going to become next? How the heck is this book going to end?? Well, pick up the book now and find out! But be warned: You will not be able to put Every Day down!
I’m giving Every Day 5 new mornings in a new body out of 5!
