It’s Treat Tuesday! What are you reading….I mean eating?!
Thank you Shannon Houghton for the awesome meme picture! Check out Shannon’s fabulous blog!
King Arthur’s Very Great Grandson by Kenneth Kraegel goes well with a Snickers candy bar.
My students loved the author visit set up by my school librarian Travis Jonker! Many of my students said it was one of their favorite activities this year.
I also loved the author visit by Kenneth Kraegel. His book King Arthur’s Very Great Grandson is a humorous tale about the main character Henry who really wants to battle a monster. The problem is the monsters reactions to his challenge are unexpected to say the least. Students of all ages will love this fantasy picture book about friendship.
I also enjoyed learning about the process involved in creating a picture book. I think it was great for my students to hear about how the first few books Kenneth Kraegel made didn’t get published. He also talked about working with his editors to get the pictures and words just right for the book. I’m looking forward to reading and sharing his future books with my students.
Awesome! Looks like a great book 🙂
Thanks! Check it out! I think you would like all the fantasy monsters. 🙂
Author visits are so great! A wonderful opportunity to connect text to creator, and the book sounds fun, too! Middle Grade author, Kim Baker, visited my girls’ school last week. A definitely a highlight for them!
Thanks Lorna! I agree! 🙂
