It’s Treat Tuesday! What are you reading….I mean eating?!
Tuesday is my favorite day of the week because I get to read….and eat candy! YUM! A huge thank you to Shannon Houghton for the Treat Tuesday meme picture. Check out her fabulous blog Ms. Houghton’s Class.
My Top Five Favorite Audio Books…..at this moment!
1. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
Confession. I could listen to Neil Gaiman read the phone book and I would be mesmerized. So the fact that The Graveyard Book is also a fantastic story is just icing on the cake. In other words, if you are stranded on a desert island and you only took one audio book with you….I hope you packed this one.
2. Dead End in Norvelt by Jack Gantos
Dead End In Norvelt is a book you need to listen to on audio. The author’s reading makes it a real gem. I don’t think I have laughed out loud as much with any other audio book. Jack Gantos is hilarious! I highly recommend listening to this audio book if you need a good laugh.
3. Turtle in Paradise by Jennifer L. Holm
I loved this book by one of my all time favorite authors. I highly recommend this touching, funny story. In fact, while you are at it you should just read and listen to all of Jenni Holm’s books. And I think my favorite cupcake eating pal Babymouse would agree with me!
4. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green & David Levithan
This audio book can’t be beat in terms of the voice work and there is even some singing! I dare you not to fall in love with the hilarious characters in this story. You too will be wishing for the musical.
5. Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis
James Avery does fabulous voice work for the audio book of Bud, Not Buddy. He is the actor best known for his part as Will Smith’s uncle on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. So check out this Newbery winning book today. This is one of the first audio books I listened to and it is still one of my favorites.
Do you want even more audio book recommendations? Of course you do! Grab a treat and check out my guest post on Mission Read about great audio books! Happy Listening!
