  1. A whole bunch of these books made my favorites of 2013 list! Wasn’t it a great year for children’s lit? I still have several of these left to read in 2014 too–so more great reading ahead!

Love this list! Counting by 7s was a top pick on my list as well! I can’t wait to read Tea Party Rules! And 3 of these titles are on my must read list for 2014! My children would certainly add Rump to their top reads list – we just finished it and wow! Nice also to see Unicorn on here! He is pretty great! 🙂 Happy Reading in 2014!

Both Crankenstein and The Day the Crayons Quit were on my list this year. They were loved by kids and adults alike. And every chapter book on your list has been added to my must read for 2014.

  8. I LOOOOVE this list – it includes many of my favs such as Journey, Counting By 7s, Flora and Ulysses, Every Day After, Rump, and Doll Bones! I haven’t read The Year of Billy Miller yet, but have heard SO much about it! I also need to put Better Nate Than Never.

  9. This is a great list! I read many MG titles last year, but Flora & Ulysses was my favorite, with The Year of Billy Miller a close second.
