It is picture book month! So let’s celebrate! Check out the picture book month website here for awesome resources!
My students and I are celebrating by unwrapping 25 picture books for our classroom library during the month of November and part of December! A different student is going to unwrap one new picture book each day. The student will unwrap the book, read the book first during read to self time and sign the book as proof that they were the first to read it! Then I will read it aloud to the class and it will be a part of our classroom library.
Book Reveal for Day 1!
My students LOVED Sam and Dave Dig a Hole by Mac Barnett and illustrated by Jon Klassen.
They of course had their theories about the end of the book!
“Oh! They were digging up!”
“They fell off into an opposite planet.”
“They are in China where everything is backwards!”
Thank you for the book Mr. Schu!!!
Happy Picture Book Month! How are you celebrating?
