My son Sam and I are enjoying some books together this summer. And I’m also reading some books on my own.
Books I finished last week:
Sam and I finished reading The Cat on the Mat is Flat by Andy Griffiths and Illustrated by Terry Denton. We took turns reading it. I would read a page and then he would read a page. It is so fun reading together!
Yes, this book is adorable just like the cover! It also has a great lesson on acceptance! I know my students will love this book up!
I am currently reading:
I am currently reading The Tiara on the Terrace by Kristen Kittscher. I’m excited to talk about this book on August 8th at 9 pm EST for the #Vbcbooks chat on Twitter! Have your questions ready for Kristen because she will be joining us for the chat! See you then! Happy Reading!
So what are you reading this week?
Okay, that has to be one of the cutest book trailers. EVER. Now, I want to go read A Unicorn Named Sparkle!
It is super cute! Kids will love it!
I’m glad you’re getting a chance to blog again!
Me too! I’m hoping it sticks once school starts! Also, loving your blog! 🙂
I loved Tiara on the Terrace. Kristin is such a fabulous writer and person.
Yes! She is awesome! It has been great to see her at Nerd Camp too!
Just scrolled through a few posts and saw Full of Beans-super excited to read that one! I love historical fiction…my goal is always to hook some kids onto that genre each year!
Same here! I think you will love it!
A Unicorn Name Sparkle looks so cute. I’ll definitely be looking for that one. 🙂
Your students will love it!
I loved reading with my daughter when she was young. Now that she is almost all grown up, I love discussing books we both read together and sharing book recommendations.
I’m hoping I get to do that with my son someday. 🙂
