Books I finished last week:
I finished Finding Perfect by Elly Swartz (out October 18, 2016). I highly recommend this book. Molly is a girl struggling to keep it all together after her mother leaves her family behind for a job far from home. I felt the stress and anxiety Molly felt as her inner voice and outer world start falling apart. I’m looking forward to adding this book to the school library in October.
This is the book you need to read on the first day of school! In fact, School’s First Day of School made me tear up a bit at the end. This book is sweet, funny and will tug at your heart strings. A perfect read aloud for the first day to calm the most jittery child….or teacher.
I just love Zachariah Ohora’s illustrations! The Not So Quiet Library is full of humor! I can’t wait to share it as one of my first read aloud books this school year! I know kids are going to love it! I’m sure my library isn’t going to be quiet either. There will be much loud laughter instead! And I’m okay with that.

So what are you reading this week?
YES, I’m all about the not-so-quiet library, at least in the children’s section. 🙂
Love all of your books! I can’t wait to share Finding Perfect. Just love Molly’s voice. I think it’s so important!
Great books this week! I loved School’s First Day of School and The Not So Quiet Library.
School’s First Day of School made me tear up a bit, too! I bought Nine, Ten, but haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet. Can’t wait to dig in.
Thanks so much for the heads up about Finding Perfect. I just asked for it from Netgalley.
